Mosaic Class

I’m going through all the requests and inquires for mosaic workshop classes.  There are families and bunko groups who want to come in for a little creative outlet.  I ordered several new mosaic mediums to tile onto from a small business in the midwest.  I found her on Etsy.com.  I ordered them in July and received them 3 weeks later.  When I opened the box I realized that this woman had probably been in her garage with her jigsaw cutting out all the patterns herself.  Imagining the degree of heat in her garage during the summer months, I tip my hat to her.  Just the thought of entering a Home Depot for a sheet of MDF gives me anxiety.  Her patterns were ones I haven’t seen before.  Besides the typical “butterfly” or “sun”, she had cut outs of whimsical patterns that remind me of scrapbooking.  I’m excited to see what students to will pick for their projects.  It makes me want to get out my nippers and tile one myself.
